A female cat using it's right paw

A female cat using it’s right paw

Fact: Female cats are more often right-pawed, while male cats are more often left-pawed.

Why is this fact interesting?: Not many people know that cats can be right or left-pawed, like humans can be right or left-handed.

How does this affect cats?: Most females use their right paws to do everything, while most males use their left paws to do everything.

Hello everyone, Snowboots here. I’ve been hanging out in Emma’s room a lot lately and I keep seeing her look at another cat blog called Tux the Dapper Gent so I jumped up on her desk and read a few of the posts. They were awesome. Later I showed it to Tiger and he loved it too. We could totally relate to the cat in it. Some of the posts were about things that me and Tiger do. Like the post, Daily Dose of Dapper: Squish Face, and the post Daily Dose of Dapper: Bag Cat. I also related to Daily Dose of Dapper: Gratuitous Whiskers. I think you should check it out.

Hope you like it,

Hi, I’m Batman

Hi, I’m Batman. I’m named Batman because of the black patch on my head that looks like a mask. I’m a little bit fat.

I live with another cat named Nano. I fight with her regularly. Nano is Catwoman. I also regularly try to escape. When I want to go outside, I twang the doorstop.

My favorite toy is a stuffed yellow, black, and pink thing that I think is called Pikachu. I love playing fetch with it. I also like watching Star Trek with my humans.

I love meeting new humans so feel free to comment on this post or email the owner of this blog and I will reply.

The Joker

Na na na na na na na na Batman!

See ya later!

P.S. It’s the Joker! I must save you from evil.

Scratching Posts and Furniture

Tiger sleeping on the scrtching post.

Tiger: I love using the scratching post. It feels so good on my claws. I can even sleep on top of it with the window open and the sun on my back.

Snowboots: I’ve always thought scratching posts are overated. The only thing it’s good for is sleeping on. I really prefer the carpet or the chair in Emma’s room for scratching.

Tiger: But the chair’s so comfy. You should sleep on it, not scratch it.

Snowboots: Eh.

Chloe: You know what would make this more interesting?

Tiger: You startled us!

Snowboots: I thought I smelled her.

Chloe: If you knew about scratching outdoors. Just find a tree or a fence to scratch on.

Tiger: But what if the humans won’t let us outside?

Chloe: I don’t know. The humans always let me outside.

Tiger: I guess I’ll use the scratching post that’s next to the door.

Snowboots: I’ll use the carpet next to the keyboard!

Tiger: Those are near outside.

Facty Friday #7

Fact: A group of cats is called a clowder.

Why is this fact interesting?: Not many people know this. They think a group of cats is a clan or something.

How does this affect cats?: A group of them is called something that sounds like chowder, a type of seafood that a cat would probably enjoy.

The Puzzle Box

imageHi, this post is coming to you from Tiger. Today, me and my brother, Snowboots, found a box on the ground that smelled like our food and had holes in the side. So Snowboots reached his paw in one of the holes. He said a feathery thing and our dry, brown niblets were inside it. Then, he got some niblets out! They were yummy.

We tried to get more out. I put my head in to eat some, but my head got stuck! It was scary. At least I got some imageniblets in my mouth while I was in there.

Hope ya don’t get your head stuck in a box,

See ya!

imageTiger: I love playing in the backyard. Bugs to chase, grass to eat, it’s amazing.

Snowboots: I’m really more of a front yard and down the street kinda guy. Trepassing on the stray cats’ territory? What a rush.

Tiger: Yeah, well….I have adventures too!

Snowboots: Like what? *skeptical*

Tiger: Ummm……This morning I watched two cats fighting.

imageSnowboots: I was one of those cats. And you ran away. You hid under Emma’s bed afterwards.

Tiger: Joke’s on you. I always hide under Emma’s bed.

Snowboots: So brave. *sarcastic*

Chloe: Will you two stop arguing? I’ve had way more adventures than both of you. Combined. imageMy old humans left me behind when they moved. I had to survive on my own for three days until Emma’s family found me.

Tiger and Snowboots: Wow.

Chloe: If you’ll excuse me, not that I care what you think, I’m going to go stalk the birds on the bird feeder.

Snowboots: She’s so awesome.

Tiger: I know.

Facty Friday #6

Fact: A cat lover is called an ailurophile

Why is this fact interesting?: They’re called that because ailouros means cat in Greek and phile means love

How does this affect cats?: A name for people who love them sounds kinda wierd
