The Vulture

Can you see it?

Can you see it? If you zoom in you’ll be able to see it. Just tap the picture.

Hi, this is Snowboots. I’m going to tell you about the big event that happened today at the Kitten Olympics when we were let in the backyard for a bit.

So far, I had won the Fastest Runner event and Tiger had won the Bug Chasing event. Tiger was in the middle of the Bird Chasing event, when I noticed the biggest bird ever standing on a tree branch behind the backyard fence.

This is what I looked like when I saw it.

This is what I looked like when I saw it.

I was about to tell Tiger when I remembered that I shouldn’t distract Tiger when he was doing an event because it would mess him up and he should be able to do his best, so I didn’t say anything. I told him later when we were taking a break. He was amazed and a little annoyed at me.” Why didn’t you tell me so I could see it?” he asked. ” Because you were in the middle of an event,” I replied. “I didn’t want to distract you. I wanted you to do your best.” Later we found out it was a Turkey Vulture.

We were really tired

The Bad Place(a.k.a. the vet)

Tiger, tired out after going to the Bad Place.

Hi, this is Tiger, and I’m here to tell you about what happened at the Bad Place.

First, Snowboots and I were stuffed into this weird cage thing(I think it’s called a carrier). Secondly, we were put into a big a metal thing(I think they’re called cars) and then the humans climbed in after us, and turned the car on with a  big rumbling and shaking. Thirdly, we went to pick up a another girl, who evidently was coming with us to the Bad Place. But who would want to? Fourthly, we drove and we drove. When we finally got there, I was so nervous. We were brought inside and set down while the humans talked with the people at the counter. Then we were taken to a back room by a human we didn’t know. We were set down on a table and taken out one by one. When we were taken out he stuck a needle in us! It hurt! Why would he do that? You won’t believe this but when he brought us back to the other room, our humans weren’t there! We waited a few minutes and then our humans came in through another door. Then we were taken home and we slept — we were tired!

Facty Friday # 1

Fact: Cats sleep about 2/3 of their day.

Why is this fact interesting?: How could anyone sleep that much!?

How does this affect cats?: They don’t have much awake time to do things.

Hi, I’m Snowboots. I came here with my brother, Tiger, when we were 8 weeks old. We’re 16 weeks old now.

Out of me and my brother, I’m the more adventurous kitten. I’m always getting into mischief. For example: getting in Fancy Feast boxes, getting stuck in the cat food cupboard, getting in the dishwasher, trying to get into the fridge, and getting stuck in the shower.Tiger does some of that stuff too. I prefer to sit next to people, not on them, like Tiger does.

Don’t tell my humans this: I think I’m going to the Bad Place(a.k.a. the vet) today! And I’m not entirely sure why I don’t want my humans to know that I know.

The other cat, Chloe, hates us. I don’t get it. We didn’t do anything to her, did we? The dog, Garak, is a horrible playmate. We try to play but he walks away and/or snaps at us. Why doesn’t he play? But he isn’t a bad sleep-mate.

I’m Tiger.

Hi,I’m Tiger. I’m a 16 week old kitten. I’ve been living in this house since I was 8 weeks old. I came here with my brother, Snowboots. We’re littermates.

I love to cuddle. I’ll purr up a storm if you scratch my back.I’m the lovebug of the family. I love to sleep on peoples’ chests. I love to catch bugs and then eat them.I like to climb more than Snowboots does. I have a more high-pitched meow than my brother. My humans tell me that I’m a little purr-monster. But I don’t understand. I’m not a monster, am I?

Don’t tell my humans this but I think I’m going to the Bad Place(a.k.a. the vet) today! And I’m not entirely sure why I don’t want my humans to know that I know.

There’s this big cat, Chloe, I try to make friends with her but she doesn’t like me and I don’t know why. She even hisses at me. I don’t get it. There’s also this dog, Garak. He’s boring; he doesn’t play at all! But he isn’t bad for cuddling.

Hi, I’m Chloe

I’m Chloe.

Hi, my name is Chloe. I’m a calico domestic shorthair. I’m about 5 years old. Did you know that calicos are a lot more likely to be female than male? I’m a she-cat, as you can probably, hopefully, tell. I’m a part indoor, part outdoor cat.

Part of my territory (a.k.a. my house) was invaded by 2 kittens about 6 weeks ago. They’re littermates. Tiger, the one who seems more sensible, comes up to me and meows like he’s my kitten! Of course, I hardly tolerate it.

The other one, Snowboots, rushes up with absolutely no respect! Of course, he ends up getting clawed.

Also, there’s that dumb dog, Garak, who isn’t any help. But he isn’t all bad.
